Questions You May Have

question mark

Ready to hire a marketing writer for your retirement plan writing needs? Have a few questions I can help you out with before we start? Or you’re looking for more information before making a decision?

So let’s have a conversation about some of the questions you may have about how I can help you with your project.

Q: Do you offer a full range of services?

A: I specialize in writing marketing content such as white papers, brochures, case studies and articles.

Q: What kind of results can I expect?

A: Exactly the same thing I would expect: a professional with the right combination of passion, experience, expertise and attention to detail. Someone who will bring the same care and caring to your project as I would to my own. Someone who stands behind her work and wants you to be 100% satisfied. Someone who believes in creating long-lasting business relationships that can benefit both parties.

Q: Do you do the work yourself or do you outsource?

A: I do the writing myself and collaborate with other professionals as needed.

Q: What kind of turnaround time can I expect?

A: We determine a schedule for each action step in the project together as well as the final due date. I will do everything within my power to meet these dates; however, these dates are contingent on my receiving requested materials from you.

Q: I have a tight deadline to meet. Can you start on my copywriting project right away?

A: The short answer is…it depends on the scope of work, your timeframe, and my current projects. I first honor the commitments I’ve made to my existing clients. I wouldn’t want to jeopardize the quality of work or cost for current customers when considering new clients. However, I will do everything I possibly can to accommodate your project.

Q: What if I want to make revisions?

A: I want you to be 100% satisfied with my work. My fees allow for two revisions of the project unless they are based on a change in the assignment after the copy is submitted.

Q: What do your fees include?

A: My fees cover background research and studying relevant materials, content development and writing and up to two rounds of standard revisions. All revisions must be assigned within 30 days of your receipt of the first draft of copy. After that, additional rewrites may be made at a time to be negotiated separately from this Agreement. In addition, if the scope of work changes, my fees may change.

Q: Do you understand enough about the retirement plan industry to write about it?

A. Yes, I do. I’ve worked as a consultant, administrator and recordkeeper. I’ve also earned a CEBS professional certification for the industry. I love working with qualified retirement plans with the twists and turns the government regulations for them often take in spite of the frustrations the regs may cause. I keep current with developments so I can help you.

Q: Have you worked directly with mail houses and printers?

A: Yes, I have. I was the project coordinator for my department’s employee mailings, as well as the go-to person for relations with our print house. I understand a lot about printing, in part because I worked part-time in a print shop when I was in college.

Q: What sets you apart from everyone else?

A: My 25+ years in retirement plan administration combined with a passion for words and in making them tell a story. I am creative, dedicated and professional. I bring an analyst’s mind to my writing. My philosophy is just because it’s a business project doesn’t mean the writing has to be boring so it puts your clients to sleep.
